It has been 50 years since our country got its independence, but do you seriously think we have reached independence. I seriously don’t think so. With the government policy favoring Bumiputra towards non-Bumiputra. Well, the government will give 1001 explanations on its policy. I seriously, fail to digest even one explanation into my system.
Tell me which country in this planet earth implements such bias policy. Unfair education system, biasness in government loans and projects, welfare benefits, housing loans, contracts, God forbidden and much more. I think the non-Bumiputra and Palestinians face the same problem, which is oppression segregation and humanly unfair treatment. The only difference is that they have a chance to voice out their disappointment.
This special right not only has taken a toll on the non-Bumiputra but the Bumiputra as well. For example, even when a Malay has worked hard to be a good businessman or professional, the non-Bumiputra will say “he has gotten where he is because of the government,” the Bumiputra don’t get respect from others.
Even the education system has greatly favored the Bumiputra, whereby a non-Bumiputra will find it extremely difficult to get space in the local university due to the quota system. But even though there are many Malays with degrees, you still find them unemployed. This is because of their failure to communicate in English and due to special privileges given to them in education to obtain a degree; their standard is not at par with the degree that they have obtained.
The thing that really bugs me the most is that scholar-ship is given to even rich Bumiputra, I mean really rich. This deprives the deserving one for a scholar-ship. Common we are all “anak
The quota system has also reached the sports in
I do agree that the Chinese do practice favoritism in the private sector. We all know that in a Chinese company, the Chinese get better benefits compared with the non-Chinese, but can you blame them from practicing such policy when our “Godfather” (the government) swears upon this is a political game, where the supreme party uses this for their own good. But, please this is too extreme and it has taken a toll on the “rakyat”. The situation has really become from bad to worse. This has made the Malays very dependent and made the non-Bumiputra feel like “pariah” in their own motherland. Does the government really feel that our Malay brothers are that weak and fragile? There is an old Malay saying “takkan Melayu hilang di dunia”. I seriously feel this saying will go under threat because “Melayu takkan dihormati lagi di dunia”, if they go on depending on the government.
If we take a look back 20 years ago, when I was a school boy and that was the time when
Nowadays the Malays will not even drink a glass of water in a non-Muslim’s house, the Chinese have their own circle of Chinese friends which are very Hong Kong style orientated and the Indians have their “little
