(FACT) One Word; Different Culture, Different Meaning
Critics are narrow-minded by passing judgment without knowing HIP-HOP culture.
It's Rap, for goodness sack! I am astounded by the obtuseness of all critics. It's so pathetic especially from the government. Charges are totally unfounded
Example: food is fucking awesome = food is delicious; nothing to do with awesome sex
Don't judge others with own perception
Besides its culture, word by word translation distorts real meaning. Even Mandarin-speaking person couldn't fully understand rap without knowing hip-hop & dialect, what more for critics who know nothing. Malay Language doesn't have its "robustness" to demystify hip-hop.
(PROOF) Have you ever listen to a joke, understood every word but didn't get the joke? Why?
Rap is about telling experiences. It's an expression. It's an art. I admire author's talent to rap with FACTUAL assertions. Since age 15, he has rapped 300+ songs through his life experiences.
If you don't like rap, that's your choice. Your parent might not like your music and vice versa. He is telling the truth and how he said it is "no harm, no foul" by hip-hop standard. Just because you don't know, doesn't mean other is wrong.
If you are ignorant (don't know hip-hop, Mandarin & dialect), you felt hurt; granted. Namewee & family have apologized in public (televised), due to your IGNORANT, not guilt.
Criticisms focus on 3 areas:
A) Religion
B) National Anthem
C) Race
A) RELIGION
(FACT) "Prayer" starts early morning w/ good volume.
I am using this to replace my alarm clock. Am I disrespectful? Saying one sing better than others is truthful. Don't they have "prayer contest" annually to select the best?
During my overseas stay, church bells woke me up every Sunday. I (unintentionally) mentioned to the priest. He didn't take any offense and said jokingly the bell will get louder
One can say how peaceful of one religion, but action says it all.
(FACT) Remember the Danish cartoonist? If this rap is hurting your religion, where is the uproar? Unless, you claim Malay Muslims is far more superior to other Muslims.
B) NATIONAL ANTHEM
Technically, he didn’t modify "National Anthem". He sang the actual Anthem, follow by rap. 3 different components:

C) RACE
(FACT) Public sector has always been less efficient than private sector. Coincidently, Malays happen to be the majority. When we discuss the "sluggish-ness" of the public service, Malays become the focus.
Same logic applied to Police; majority gets the attention. Chinese/Indian will be the target if they were majority. He didn't implicate all Malays.

Visit Malaysia 2007! Remember an incident in '06? Police did a "naked search/ear-squats" (captured by cell phone) & humiliate innocent foreign tourist? Male police were peeping! She went through this ordeal because she refused to pay RM$500 bribe.
Instead of apologizing, senior Internal Security Minister commented, "If the foreigners think we are cruel; ask them to go back to their own country." Don't worry; this Minister is transferred to "Education".

When asked by female MP about leaking roof after RM$100 million renovation, 2 MPs (Jasin/Kinabatangan) lashed out vulgar, sexist & offensive remark, "tiap-tiap bulan pun bocor" in Parliament, means "leak every month".
A very crude and disgusting way to say women menstruate monthly same as leaking roof.

What about Malaysian & Indonesian who burnt National Flag? The latest incident happened at Batu Burok, Terengganu.
Government official betray his own religion (ex-marital affair), commit crime (instruct & execute killing), leak classified explosive ("C4"), degrade women ("bocor"), violate human right (strip search) and hypocrite ('06 you go back to your country, '07 Visit Malaysia). Government's mind sets worry me about direction of this country.
Economy can GROW. We don't have to fight for a "constant pie". i.e. KLSE: 950 to 1300, did we STEAL? No, "Rising tide raises all boats" and everyone wins.
Malaysia Government literally refuses higher education for non-Malays, only collects their taxes.
(FACT) For 102 years,
You rather scarify human life than letting non-Malay study? What a good moral!

"Respect" has to be earned through leadership/character/wisdom. Your "legacy" is based upon country's accomplishment not your bank account.

You can always love your country, but only love your Government when they deserve.
I honestly believe all human being can coexist together. Isn't true our blood is red and tear is salty? Why having policies that are not genuinely helping Malays and harming non-Malays?

Critics, please respect both National Anthem and National Flag. If you want to pick on the "language flaws" in rap, condemn 20 years old to HELL, then criticize those who burnt National Flag.

The muslim will be very pious and the others will become very rich.
When I socialise with both sides, the muslim prides themselves by claiming who is the better prayer.The others by the amount of monies they have.Those pratical muslim opt for engineering,doctors etc. Skills that help them in theis mundane world.

I have an incidence near my house, whereby a chinese woman ask the mosque to lower down the volume of the loud speaker, instead the volume was increased until i can hear the speaker out of tune.She was given a tongue lashing.
Once i went to pump petrol at Petronas, a malay attendant runs up to me and froze and say ' you china, saya ta'bolih tolong'.The owner saw and run to me and apologised and say this ' minta ma'af, budak ini budak kelateh(kelantan).The next trip , i went , that budak is not around.
I hope that this is an isolated incidence.Or is it?
When we socialised, we have this naturally tendency to pick up cetain ethics and etiquette from them.This allows us to merge peacefully.
To date, the govenment have various program to prevent polarisation.And the things are getting worse with extremism creeping in.
We should all play our parts.Those who are ignorant will cry 'wolf'.We should assist them thru education.Those who cry 'wolf' to get votes, you decides what to do with them.
